The people *ahem*... excuse me. The “pweeble” have spoken.
The experimental episode for a “Will It Distill” series was released on the Tribe’s YouTube channel last weekend (What does distilled coffee taste like?). You Magnificent Bastards were given a ridiculous goal of 6,000 likes to gauge the Tribe’s interest in the idea.
The video had 10,000 likes in less than 1 day. You can learn more about the experimental episode by reading the top pinned comment here:
The lads are now working on the logistics of adding this new (additional) series to the Whiskey Tribe channel.
Earlier today, the YouTube gods dropped a little surprise in my recommended videos. Apparently, Daniel and Brian Brushwood (Modern Rogue) recently explored our lair in Austin, TX. I had no idea! Check out the video for a walking tour of where we’ve been, where we are, and where we’re going:

Ian Piggott is our unofficial whiskey article curator. Basically he posts a bunch of great whiskey article links in the Facebook group, and we go steal them and post them in the newsletter. Thanks Ian :-)

Mamoru Tsuchiya is worried about the future of Japanese whiskey. Sales are booming, but there is a problem: A large amount of the liquor is not actually made in Japan, said Mr Tsuchiya, one of that country's leading whiskey experts.
This beautifully austere whisky cabinet is clever in harnessing the power of a single piece of furniture as a social activator and spatial organizer.
The jury unanimously agreed it’s an excellent example of how an object can inform and influence the way people interact, which is an integral part of what good design is. It works hard to produce a level of intimacy that absolutely equates to a spatial experience…
