Emma and I did a side-by-side comparison to a standard Eleanor with rye in the mashbill. Rye delivers that spicy note that is unmistakable. Some love it. Others not so much. The wheated Eleanor shows a lot of more subtle flavors. Dark cherry, some floral notes that lean toward Apricot.
Couple of things for you this week. If you've ever been to the Fang & Feather, you'll notice a small loft, accessible only by a ridiculously narrow spiral staircase. The door is always locked and no one goes up there much. I sweet talked Madison out of the key and went up to investigate.

I posted some pictures for you. Link is at the bottom.
But the big news is, the guys are about to release the second wheated Eleanor. This one is a single barrel release. The big divide amongst bourbon drinkers is the companion grain to corn. Do you prefer wheat or rye?
