But you can find our fingerprints on our labels. These days a lot of the big distilleries want you to think they have a small, craft division. They release "small batches" and all that. But you will know a true craft distillery when you find fingerprints on the labels. And I think you gotta respect that as well. As of Tuesday, my fingerprints are on about 120 bottles of Apology Gin.

Hey you bastards,

Thought I'd give you a little peek into some behind the scenes action at the Crowded Barrel. Being a craft distillery, bottling and labelling is done by hand. When it's time, you grab whoever is nearby and get to work. On Tuesday that was Daniel, both his boys, Emma, John, and Me. Rex was there, but I think you'll see in the photographic evidence that he mooched his way out of any work.

Which you gotta respect.

Here is something I discovered on my first bottling run. When you apply labels by hand, there is almost no way to do it without leaving a fingerprint in the label glue. It's hard to see. Probably no one will ever notice. But you can find our fingerprints on our labels.

Cause that's how we do it at the Crowded Barrel.
